We recently concluded our visit to the establishment. Initially, the first round of drinks amounted to $13 for both. However, we observed an unexpected increase in price for the second round, despite ordering the same drinks. Despite this minor setback on New Year's Day, we opted to focus on enjoying the exceptional music. Additionally, there was an incident with one of the bartenders, a stout individual, who exhibited rudeness when I attempted to capture a photo of the bar, stating firmly not to consider taking any photographs. so be prepare for that if you’re planning to visit.
This place is as busy as it can get on Saturdays- fun vibe. In the middle of the most charming section of North Beach. Bar with some history - been open for decades. Extensive bar, menu, large place.
You come to the Saloon to listen to good music and experience the real neighborhood bar in San Francisco. The music of choice is blues. There are lots of places to eat around, no need to move the car.
Love dive bars, visited this one as it opened. Bartender not set up with proper ingredients, was not able to make common drinks as requested. He was a friendly and nice though. Would like to come back when live music.

Quintessential barbary coast saloon with live blues music!! This is where the cool 60 year olds, that you hope to be someday, hang out. It's one of my top 5 favorite bars in the city.

Such an amazing place! Time seems not running. We heard a band on sunday, great musicians and a singer with a powerful and beautiful voice. I fell in love with a guy but I couldn't talk to him (I'm too shy)... It's the atmosphere, everyone is happy, enjoying music. I will come back in my next visit to San Francisco for sure! Tysm.
